Highlight Reel...

I don't even know where to begin! These past couple of weeks have been unbelievable!! I feel like I need to get out my calendar to think back on what has happened. (How sad is that?!) I'll start with today and work my way backwards...

1. Today is my first official program at my traveling school. We had our 1:30 program and I'm in between that and the evening performance. They call it the "Dress Rehearsal," but it's really a performance for the rest of the school and a few parents that aren't able to make it tonight. (Or that wanted to see both...who knows.) Wish me luck on the one tonight!

2. Yesterday... This week has actually been pretty great, despite the crazy schedule changes I've had to make. I'm not as invisible as I thought I'd be here in this city, because I was spotted yesterday by two students when I was out in the backyard with Wrigley and Pete. Guess their dad lives a block away, and I'm thinking that they'll be around quite a bit this summer. (Maybe it will help with discipline issues for the youngest??) Haha...I'm just dreaming.

3. Friday was my BIRTHDAY!!! I was AMAZED at everything my honey was up to and that he'd come up with! First of all, by Thursday evening I was pretty sure that he had absolutely nothing planned and the big 2-6 was going to be a bust. However, I was pleasantly surprised when the prettiest vase of spring flowers came up to the school! (I was lucky that another teacher brought them down, because Fridays are my no-plan-period days.) NEXT, he made dinner reservations at a fancy restaurant that we've only eaten at once, and it was de-licious! YUM, YUM! He found a spa here in town and - I would've never believed this - bought me a FOUR-HOUR package! Hour massage here, facial there, pedicure here... AWESOME!

4. And finally, my family came up to go bowling with us (we're terrible...no worries). :) We had a great time, but we were lucky enough to be about 2 lanes over from an entire birthday party of kinders that are my students. I didn't care at all, but it was really funny that once one figured it out, everyone else had to come over and say hi, too! I guess I'm still young enough on the job to think they're pretty cute!

I am very sure that there has been a ton else going on (niece's birthday party, softball tournament, girl's night in OKC with my 2 cousins and sister...). It's just too much for me to remember anymore! (Is that what old age does to us? Haha)
